The close neighborhood The syncline perched by Saoû is completely made by marine sediments put down during the first half of the superior Cretaceous. It is totally closed by of vertiginous cliffs peaking in 3 beaks which make the happiness of the amateurs of escalation! Maurice Burrus, owner of the forest from 1924 till 1959, made it build the Inn off the Dauphins, the replica of the small Trianon, as well as a tourist road making the tour of the forest.
